2.1.1 Sihi SuperNova ZLN

Pumps of the series SIHISuperNova ZLN are horizontal, single-stage volute casing pumps with connections and main dimensions to DIN 24255 / EN 733, plus 19 additional sizes. The design of the pump allows the complete drive unit to be withdrawn from the casing without disturbing the attached pipe work. If a spacer type coupling is used, it is also unnecessary to disconnect the motor.

2.1.2 SPL

SIHI Series SPL

The SPL is a horizontal, single stage, end suction pump flanged to a bearing pedestal. The volute casing has integral support feet and is fitted with a replaceable wear ring. Wearing parts can be removed from the drive end without disturbing the volute casing and pipe work. An open impeller is fitted as standard but a closed impeller for pumping liquids containing abrasive solids can be fitted if required.

2.1.3 ULN

SIHI Series ULN

Pumps of the series ULN are horizontal, self-priming, single-stage volume casing pumps with dimensions and nominal outputs according to EN 733 / DIN 24255 in back pull out construction. The back pull out construction allows the demounting of the complete bearing unit towards the drive side so that it is not necessary to detach the pump casing out of the piping. On applying a coupling with dismounting piece it will be superfluous to detach the motor.

2.2 Supernova ZLK

Pumps of the series SIHISuperNova ZLK are single-stage volute casing pumps with connections and nominal performances according to EN 733 / DIN 24255, plus 6 additional sizes. The design of the pump allows the complete drive unit to be withdraw from the casing without disturbing the attached pipe work. The close coupled design, also, allows dismantling or replacing the motor without disturbing the pump. There is no common shaft for pump and motor, standard motors can be used. The set is a space saving easy to install pump unit.

Pumps of the series ZLI are single-stage resp. two-stage pumping units in compact design with nominal performances according to EN 733 / DIN 24255 as well as additional size DN 25, where suction and discharge branch are arranged opposite for direct installation into the pipe work. There is no common shaft for motor and pump. The motors used are of the standard type listed. Thanks to the process design it is possible to withdraw the whole insert unit without removing the casing of the pump from pipe work.

The individual shafts of the unit connected by a plug-in coupling facilitate the dismantling or replacement of the motor without affecting the pump.

Single-stage pump units in compact design with nominal performances as per EN 733. Suction and discharge orifices are arranged in line with each other for direct installation in the pipe work. Electric motor and pump do not have a common shaft, standard motors as per list are applied. The back pull out construction permits the dismounting of the complete pull-out unit without removing the pump casing out of the pipe work. The separate pump shaft and motor shaft connected by a plug-in coupling make possible to dismount resp. replace the motor without touching the pump.

Pumps of the series CEH-X/CEH have a segmental type construction with open vane wheel impellers. The construction of the CEH pump is a so-called centrifugal combined system. This combination pump is suited with a centrifugal stage in serial connection before the side channel stages to obtain a more favourable NPSH.

4.1.2 Series AEH-X, AEH

Pumps of the series AEH-X/AEH according to EN 734 have a segmental type construction with open vane wheel impellers. This pump is available in a normal industrial design with one liquid surrounded slide bearing and one ball bearing or in a heavy-duty construction with a double ball bearing design.

4.1.3 Series AKH-X, AKH

Pumps of the series AKH-X/AKH have a segmental type construction with open vane wheel impellers. The pump construction is either with one liquid surrounded slide bearing and one ball bearing or in a more industrial construction by using a double ball bearing design.

Pumps of the series AOH have a segmental type construction with open vane wheel impellers. The program comprises 4 sizes with up to 4 stages for the sizes 1100/1200 and up to 3 stages for the sizes 3100/3600.

4.1.5 Series ASH

SIHI Series ASH

Horizontal, self-priming, multi-stage side channel pumps with open vane wheel impellers handling entrained gas during normal duty. A special bearing was developed for compensation of the axial forces occurring in case of high nominal pressures.

4.1.6 Series ADH

SIHI Series ADH

The ADH pumps are self-priming side channel pumps capable of handling gas along with the medium and operates at a low noise level. These pumps have a segmental construction with open vane wheel impellers. The ADH series are running at high speed and have been designed with special regard to noiseless running. The program comprises 6 sizes.

This pumps a especially designed to the LPG filling stations.

4.2.4 Series SMX

SIHI Series SMX

The SIHI pump type SM-X is an innovative product that can be dropped in place to the other usual submersible pumps used in most of the LPG car filling stations.
Due to its design, this pump can be installed without bypass valve as an internal bypass secure the minimum flow of the pump.
The well-known reliability of the side channel pump is combined with the safe use and the simple design of a submersible pump.
An optional intelligent drive allows to use one pump for 2 nozzles and reduce the energy consumption by adjusting the performance to the exact need of the installation.

4.2.5 Series CEB

SIHI Series CEB

The CEB side channel units are a low noise design of combination pump. They are ideal for pumping liquids that are stored at their boiling point, have a degree of entrained gas, or very low NPSH conditions. The vertical tank pump has been designed in order to enable retro-fitting into most common tanks. Moreover, the dimensions are such that the unit can be used to replace submersible designs of pump. Although the pump can be supplied in other lengths, the standard size is between 1.3 and 3.0 m.

4.2.6 Series DRV

Single stage, vertical side channel pump with an open vane wheel impeller. The program comprises 3 sizes. Because of the vertical arrangement of the unit, the floor space requirements are low. If the pipelines are of sufficient stability, the units of this series can even be suspended in the piping system without any foot support.

8.3_Multi MSH High Pressure Pumps

The type MSH is developed for the high pressure range up to PN 160. The advanced modular design reduces the number of parts whilst maximising interchangeability. 8.4_UEA_High Pressure Pumps

Horizontal, self-priming centrifugal pumps of the segmental type with closed impellers and a suction stage. The suction stage is installed at discharge side. It is arranged in parallel to the last liquid handling stage and operates acc. to the sucking-through principle. The design UEA has an axial inlet with NPSH inducer stage. The axial thrust is compensated by single-impeller relief. The remaining axial thrust are compensated by antifriction bearings of sufficient size. A hydraulically favourable re-routing is done by means of guiding devices in the stage casings.

8.5_UEA_High Pressure Pumps

SIHI Series TKH

Horizontal, self-priming and segmental type centrifugal pumps with shrouded impellers and a priming stage arranged on the suction side. The priming stage runs in parallel with the first liquid stage and operates acc. to the mixed media separation principle during the priming phase and in case of big gas portions. As result of the separation of the gas before entering the first impeller this is largely admitted with liquid. Finely divided gas portions can be handled without problems. If during the priming cycle, the counter pressure on the discharge side is below 0.5 bar, the pumped-away gas is discharged into the delivery pipeline. If the counter pressure is higher than 0.5 bar, then a separate gas discharging device is required.

6.1 SERIES NKH

SIHI Series NKH

The single-stage NHK is a hygienic volute-casing pump with open impeller (for optimised pumping of shear sensitive media) rotating on a robust shaft. The thick-walled stainless steel casing is fixed by a sturdy quick-release clamp ring with sanitary grade O-ring sealing. All process-wetted parts are constructed from electro polished AISI 316L stainless steel. Importantly, the volute casing is rolled steel whilst the casing cover is forged in order to give a heavy-duty construction. All other parts are made of AISI 304. The NHK range is in accordance with food-grade standards 3A1 with a surface roughness Ra < 3,2 µm (other standards are optional). The Modular and compact design, the use of standard motors and several options guarantee a reliable performance within the food and beverage industry.

6.2 SERIES SKH

The SHK range is a single stage, self-priming, hygienic side channel pump. All process-wetted parts are made of AISI 316L. All other parts are made of AISI 304. The SHK range is in accordance with food-grade standards 3A1 with a surface roughness Ra < 3,2 µm (other standards are optional). The Modular and compact design, the use of standard motors and several options guarantee a reliable performance within the food and beverage industry.

Vertical single-stage and two-stage MFS mixers with special screw-type impellers and a deflector disk mounted on the shaft. The draft tube acts either as a suction pipe or as a discharge pipe. The shaft is supported in a combined thrust and guide bearing located in the seating ring. The mixer is driven by an motor or an intermediate gear whose pedestal is mounted on the foundation. The draft tube length can be changed to suit the application. Assembly is made easy by the flanged pipe section design.

SIHI SERIES LOH

Liquid ring compressors of the series LOH are single-stage displacement compressors of simple and robust construction. They have the following important features like handling of nearly all gases and vapours, non-polluting due to nearly isothermal compression, oil-free (no lubrication in the working chamber), additional liquid can be handled with the gas flow, easy in maintenance and reliable operation, low noise and nearly free of vibrations, wide choice of material (applicable nearly everywhere) and no metallic contact of t he rotating parts.

2.3.1.1 CHEMICAL APPLICATIONS DRY M-VERSION

The vacuum system SIHIdry M-version is based upon the dry running twin screw principle. The screw-shaped displacing bodies counter-rotate without contact. The pump inlet is at the top and the outlet at the geodetically lowest position (top-down pumping). In contrast to conventional pumps the both screw spindles are not mechanically but electronically synchronized. This innovative drive conception is the basis for a stepwise development of the vacuum pump to an intelligent vacuum system, which takes on additional functions as the valve-, and pressure control for example. Furthermore the intelligent system offers the possibility to exactly monitor the important process data in order to ensure a maximum of process safety.

The vacuum system SIHIdry H-version is based upon the dry running twin screw principle. The screw-shaped displacing bodies counter-rotate without contact. The SIHIdry two-stage roots system is based on a dry-running screw pump and a roots pump. The spreader rotates in the opposite direction without touching. The intake is on the upper side and the outlet is in the geodetically lowest possible position (top-down requirement). This innovative drive concept is the basis for a gradual upgrading to an intelligent vacuum system that takes over additional functions such as valve and pressure control. The intelligent system also provides the option of specific monitoring of important process data in order to guarantee maximum process stability.

The SIHIcompact units consist of various components which are assembled together to form a compact unit with an optimal function range. The LEM liquid ring vacuum pump utilised in these systems is of a single stage design and of a simple and robust construction. These vacuum units are produced as standard versions with heat exchangers to minimise the consumption of the service liquid.

3.1.3 MODULAR VACUUM SYSTEMS

Sterling SIHI’s standard modules include liquid ring vacuum pumps complete with a motor, service liquid separator, base plate and pump support stool. The Sterling SIHImodular is used in an extensive range of applications and design options, including closed circuits with heat exchangers or liquid make-up facilities without heat exchangers. To meet the duties of the different applications, these systems offer eight pump sizes, each with a wide range of design options. Thermostatic control of the cooling water and service liquid maximises the cost benefits through reduced energy consumption. These modular vacuum compact systems are designed for ease of operation and increased safety for any applications.

3.1.4 DRY VACUUM SYSTEMS

To meet the demands of the process industry, Sterling SIHI offers vacuum package systems providing the completely dry compression of gases from vacuum up to atmospheric conditions. The application and performance range is similar to that of conventional vacuum systems, but is extended by utilising other pumping elements such as dry running vacuum pump SIHIdry and mechanical boosters.

Sterling SIHI has the ability to provide pump systems that can handle casing pressures up to 160 bar and temperatures of 400 ºC, without any external cooling. Process applications require different design variants, including closed or open impellers, bare shaft, close coupled or canned motor configurations. The SIHI08 Condition Monitoringdetect sensor is the ideal solution for all rotating machines for which online vibration monitoring has not been used up to now due to cost reasons.

This device can be used for all types of machines and is easy to install. The SIHIdetect sensor with “Ex ia” ATEX certification is also optionally available for use in zone 1.

The sensor measures the vibration velocity in accordance with DIN/ISO 10816 in the context of preventive maintenance and the acceleration spectrum up to 5.6 kHz; that said, the acceleration spectrum is divided into frequency bands and unacceptable operating conditions (cavitation etc.) are thus detected.
